Foothills Energy Services Ltd. - Formed By Experienced Alberta
Businessmen:
Two Central Alberta businessmen with extensive experience in the
service sector of the oil & gas industry have joined forces to form
a new company. Rick Splett and Dwayne Torris are at the helm of
Foothills Energy Services Ltd., an Eckville based oil and gas
service company.
The company purchased Le-Jay Trucking in August of this year.
Le-Jay, a local fluid hauling company has enjoyed a 28 year history
in the highly competitive Eckville marketplace. Both Splett and
Torris were attracted to the stable company and recognized the
potential to expand the delivery of its core business, as well as
adding additional oilfield services to the mix.
Splett, who is the President of Foothills Energy Services Ltd., has
spent 28 years in the oil & gas and petrochemical industries, where
he has held a variety of management and leadership roles. He and his
family have called central Alberta home for a number of years, where
he has owned several businesses.
Torris, a well known Eckville native, is the Vice President of
Operations, he has been self employed throughout the oil & gas
industry for many years and most recently sold a successful gravel
hauling and landscaping business. He brings his “hands on”
experience and operational skills to the business.
Foothills Energy Expansions:
Since the purchase of Le-Jay Trucking; Foothills Energy Services
Ltd. has expanded to include; environmental and earthworks services
such as gravel, clay, and dirt hauling, lease and road repairs, and
contaminated soil removal.
The company also offers asset management services meaning they
will manage the day to day operations of oil and gas leases. In the
final stages of development is the company’s new web site where
customers can gain access to the corporate mission, vision, and
values statements, as well as pre qualification information,
listings of products and services, company news updates, and
employment opportunities.
FESL - Fluid Hauling - Tank Trucks - Gravel Hauling -
Central Alberta:
Foothill’s equipment inventory includes a variety of sealed sour
fluid hauling trucks and trailers, gravel hauling, and handling
equipment. The company, which holds a certificate of recognition is
also IRP 16 compliant. Foothills presently employs 13 staff
including drivers, dispatchers, and mechanic.
Splett and Torris invite customers to drop in to the office
located directly South of the Kal Tire in Eckville at Bay 2, 4704 –
